“Going to prison as an inmate was my greatest experience — it birthed my purpose. We are not labels of crime, but products of second chances.”
I thought I had my whole life figured out. I enlisted in the U.S. Army while taking college courses in 2012. I had no idea the road ahead would birth my purpose and passion, changing my life forever.
On the night of January 21, 2012, I almost lost my life. The case went on for eight months, and I put my trust in God. I received two years in Florida State prison and three years on house arrest.
My time in prison was where I began to grow. On May 13, 2013, I received my calling to become a preacher of the gospel. Countless testimonies of the young men around me inspired me to find a way to help others after incarceration.
When I was released, I learned how difficult employment and housing are for ex-offenders. I dedicated my life to this cause. My goal is to help ex-offenders realize their God-given abilities — and my dream is that a small house and farm will rehabilitate hearts and minds, producing great men ready to take on life.
Cultivating life. Producing hope. Sustaining freedom — with men impacted by the criminal justice system in Florida. The vision is to redirect lives and eliminate the revolving door produced by incarceration: Teach. Train. Transform.
