Self-motivating and hardworking, Cecelia believes that with God all things are possible. She enjoys working with families and directing them to become motivated in their learning.
Use What You've Got Prison Ministry provides a shuttle bus for families and friends to visit their incarcerated loved ones — a faith-based mission to ensure families maintain contact and pursue a holistic approach to wellness.
While dealing with the pain of learning her son was facing 40 years in prison, Cecelia founded the ministry in 1988. It became a 501(c)(3) public charity in 1990. Over the years she began a toy giveaway and a women's retreat, eventually resigning from her full-time job to drive visitors to the prisons. After more than 700,000 miles driven for God, Cecelia continues her ministry to this day.
